Location: Sydney CBD - 3 days in the office Contract: Short-term temporary assignment Rate: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the finance team of a global transport and infrastructure organisation that delivers essential public services across Australia. This short-term assignment offers the chance to step into a hands-on Financial Accountant role within a collaborative and high-performing environment. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you'll play an integral role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement for one of the group's key subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements in line with AASB standards Manage month-end and year-end closing processes Liaise with external auditors and assist during audit periods Prepare monthly client payment claims and management reports Maintain internal controls and document financial procedures Support budgeting and forecasting activities Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required About You Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related discipline CPA or CA qualified (or near completion) 1-2 years' experience in a Financial Accountant position Strong understanding of accounting, statutory reporting, and tax requirements Proficient with Microsoft Office and Xero (preferred) Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills To Note Must be immediately available.
